Plymouth Backpackers Hotel constantly strive to provide the best possible value for money while offering a very comfortable, warm, clean and cosy home that has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere for every one of our guests. We always encourage feedback from all of our guests and that includes great, good and sometimes, unfortunately, not so good. We do act on the “not so good” whenever we can but it is an inevitable part of business that bad feedback will be received now and again as any business will know. We endeavour to improve on the “good” reviews in order to turn them into great reviews next time. Reviews can be left on our website, Hostelworld, HostelBookers, Trip Advisor, Google, Facebook, Instagram etc as well as our comments book located near reception.
Because we love animals at Plymouth Backpackers Hotel we offer a pet friendly place to stay. Indeed we have our resident cat “Otto” who simply refuses to pay for his accomodation, or his food and drink for that matter! But what can we do as it is obvious that he’s the boss? We understand that not all our guests are so keen on animals so we make sure that their stay is just as comfortable as any guests that may have brought their pets with them. We make sure that our rooms are kept to a standard whereby any guest would be unaware that we accept pets.
We have a varying range of room types with ample bathrooms available that would suit: family’s; contractors; groups; school groups; shared dormitory’s; individual Backpacker’s and couples. All of our rooms have adult bunk beds and some are en-suite. Room sizes vary from two bedrooms to fourteen bedrooms which can be gender specific or mixed depending on our guests requirements. All rooms have a television, tea and coffee making facilities, bedding and towels at no extra charge. The hotel’s room rates include free WiFi throughout the hotel and in every room which is extremely fast due to being Virgin’s fibre optic 300Mb broadband. We have catered for groups of sixty plus people that also included providing breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals. Included is a complimentary breakfast package of tea, coffee, toast and a selection of cereals every morning at no extra charge for all of our guests whether individuals or groups.
Facitilities include a shared kitchen, lounge and dining area which are available to all our guests to use between the hours of 8am – 11pm seven days a week. We provide options for packed lunches and evening meals which need to be ordered and paid for in advance. When we do have large groups booked in that require evening meals then the kitchen and dining area will need to booked out in order for us to cater for these groups. This would mean that the kitchen and dining area would be off limits for a limited time in the evening for our other guests to use, which is usually for a couple of hours at the most. Other guests will be informed of such when they check in so they can plan accordingly.
Although the Hotel doesn’t have private parking, we do have on street parking available right outside the hotel which is only limited between the hours of 11am – 3pm. However, we do provide parking permits free of charge for guests that wish to leave their vehicles parked during the restricted hours.
Checking in times for guests are anytime after 4pm – 11pm and checking out times are 11am. If for any reason guests will arrive before 4pm or after 11pm then we require them to telephone to confirm a time as our reception is not twenty four hours. All of our guests are welcome to use the hotel’s facilities throughout the day.
